A premium Italian eatery and bar inspired by New York delis in the heart of Sydney. In a highly competitive inner city location, Sal needed to do ‘Italian’ in a unique way.

Sal combines the tastes of the old country with a brash, modern flair. After thorough research into the heritage of New Yorks ‘little Italy’, we developed the brand statement ‘Italian Soul with a New York attitude’. This relates to the design of both interiors and graphics.
Derived from the classic neon signs that adorn the old delis of NY, the logo pays homage whilst looking fresh, working both in printed form and lit up in its own neon sign.
Due to the successful brand launch, Sal has expanded, doubling CBD site locations within their first year.
